In La Tonda the varietal notes of cherries, plums and red fruit are accompanied by a variety of delicate spices, such as white and pink pepper and nutmeg, and refined by spring-like hints of rose petals and violets. On the palate it has a tightly woven, vibrant texture where freshness and body come together in an intriguing, almost aromatic tasting experience, which lingers on the palate with scents of leather, chocolate-covered figs, indian spices and thyme.

Le Capezzine: Sangiovese
La Tonda is the first wine in a collection of single terroir Sangiovese expressions, crafted by Avignonesi.
La Tonda gives voice to a particular vineyard plot of Le Capezzine estate, where the Sangiovese takes on a distinct spice profile, which is quite unusual for Montepulciano.
While La Tonda is perfect for medium ageing in the bottle, the unique strength of this wine lies in the now. Bright, open aromas and flavours which are a testament to grape and place. Nothing else.
Only 2.000 bottles have been produced of this special wine, which is available exclusively at the cellar door.
