Il Marzocco 2014 displays intense aromas of hawthorn, citron and lemon zest, underlined by hints of  exotic fruit and subtle spices.  It has a full, luscious flavour, with a refreshing acidity and a long, mineral finish.

With the 2014 vintage Il Marzocco becomes an IGT wine. The change of appellation from Cortona DOC to Toscana IGT is due to Avignonesi  buying the Lodola cellar and moving our vinification and ageing to this estate, which lies outside of the Cortona DOC area. For this reason we have had to change the appellation of the wine to Toscana IGT, but the origin of the grapes used in Il Marzocco is still the same  as is the production and style of the wine.
