Named after a prize local Chianina bull, the 2008 Desiderio is an elegant, persuasive wine, showing a refined side of the Cortona Merlot, thanks to a cooler vintage which allowed the formation of interesting, spicy, and herbal notes in the grapes.

A black cherry flavor is at the center of this red, surrounded by vanilla, smoke and spice notes. This will take a year or so to absorb the oak, while the finish is fresh and long. Merlot.
